Joplin Relief

Calvary Family and Friends,
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Joplin. Additionally, we ask that you remember in prayer the relief workers and their efforts.

Calvary Church and School is doing an initial in-gathering of items to assist those in the devastated area.  These items will be taken to Joplin Saturday morning.  It is our hope that we will be able to provide more support further down the line.  At this time, items being requested are:
  • Non-perishable food items (easy open, ready-to-eat)
  • Snacks such as crackers and granola bars are needed.
  • Canned goods with can openers
  • Diapers/wipes
  • Baby formula (dry or liquid)
  • Cases of bottled water
  • Blankets
  • Paper plates, plastic flatware
  • Paper towels and toilet paper
  • Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizers, etc.
  • Personal care items and toiletries
  • Cleaning supplies are also accepted
Items will be gathered at each of the 3 campuses:
  • 12411 Wornall - Calvary entryway by the cross
  • 8030 Ward Parkway Plaza - Cafeteria
  • 7500 Oak - Barth Hall (fireplace end)
Items will be accepted through Friday, May 27th, 1:00 p.m.
They may also be brought to the School's end of the year picnic Friday evening at Harmon Park.

Additionally we encourage those of you who are able to donate blood to contact the Blood Center of KC or the American Red Cross.

Thank you for sharing of yourselves to help those in need.  Expect to hear from us in the future about additional ways you may be able to help.
God's Blessings to you!
Pastor 'B'
